Servants Receives $40,000 Grant from Foxwynd Foundation to Expand Home Helps Program in Lancaster County

Updated: Nov 19

Lancaster, PA November 2024

Servants is excited to announce a $40,000 grant award from the Foxwynd Foundation. This generous funding will significantly bolster the Lancaster Home Helps program, enabling Servants to assist more homeowners in need throughout Lancaster County.  “Thank you all for your relentless effort and passion. Let us celebrate this achievement and look forward to the positive impact we will make together with the support of the Foxwynd Foundation,” said Pamela Villagra, Executive Director, Foxwynd Foundation.

The grant will be utilized in two impactful ways:

  • $20,000 Matching Funds for the Lancaster Extraordinary Give: During this community-wide giving event, every dollar donated to Servants will be doubled, up to $20,000. With the community's support, Servants aims to raise enough funds to purchase a much-needed work truck for the Lancaster Home Helps program. This will allow their team to efficiently transport tools and materials, increasing their capacity to serve vulnerable homeowners.

  • $20,000 Matching Funds for Monthly Giving: The remaining $20,000 will be used to match monthly donations made through the Foundation Builders program. This sustained support will amplify the impact of recurring gifts and ensure Servants can continue providing critical home repairs and maintenance services year-round.

"We are incredibly grateful to the Foxwynd Foundation for this transformative grant," said Todd Spahr, Director of Outreach. "This funding will not only allow us to expand our reach but also empower the community to play an even greater role in our mission. By maximizing the impact of each donation, we can collectively make a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors."

The grant will be managed through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) administered by the Foxwynd Foundation to ensure responsible stewardship and amplify its impact. This strategic approach underscores Servants' commitment to transparency and efficiency in creating meaningful change within Lancaster County.

A Call to Action

This matching grant presents a unique opportunity for the community to join Servants in their mission. Every donation, whether through the Extraordinary Give or the Foundation Builders program, will be matched dollar-for-dollar, effectively doubling its impact.
